Among the Maasai
We work in a cluster of villages where Maasai have settled, but our influence reaches the far away pastures and other settlements that the villagers have connections with. The main village is called Kibaoni Rangi, which is near the Wami River in the Mvomero area of Morogoro district, Tanzania.
Africa is changing as the population rapidly increases and there is a requirement for land to be developed. The landscape cannot support the great demand for pasture that the Maasai's ancestors enjoyed. We hope to help people to adapt to these changes. One way to do this is by helping with birth spacing to keep family size affordable and education to teach skills other than cattle keeping. See examples of our other projects here.
